Honey Singh va Atif Aslam ne album

Picture this. A translucent red dupatta of the leading lady gracefully falls on the hero's shoulder adding a romantic twist in the tale. The scene is complemented beautifully by an evergreen Bollywood love song that only ups the romantic quotient in the sequence. The small screen is replete with sequences where Bollywood songs are used in the background when the context and storyline demands. So we have seen popular songs picturised on telly stars during sequences in daily shows.

Television is taking the trend a step further as one gets to listen to popular Bollywood numbers even in reality shows. Analyze this. As the camera pans to show a slice of life of a reality show contestant, the latter's story is backed with a song like Noor-e-Khuda or Maula Mere Le Le Meri Jaan or Lakshya's title track. These are some of the few sequences on small screen which are quite frequently spotted.
